Open to high school students!
Join the expanding network of Perfect City for a roundtable dialogue about creative civic action, youth leadership and tools for organizing. Perfect City working group members Jahmorei Snipes and Aaron Landsman will introduce our practice of Avoidance Mapping, a social exercise that uplifts the lived experience of residents as policy knowledge, and host a conversation about how our tools might be useful in the Hudson Valley.
Founded by theater artist Aaron Landsman, Perfect City is a thriving hub for the study and the practice of democracy. Based in New York City since 2016, their work is expanding to communities across the country and beyond. We believe young people are born urban planners and designers, and when their voices are included in policy-making our cities and neighborhoods are better. With our spinoff group The Catcalling Project, our work has been presented in New York, Dayton, Ohio, Anchorage Alaska, Amsterdam, Netherlands, and at 2025’s Venice Architectural Biennale.
