RESTORE Leadership Academy is coming to The Spark! This in-depth education program unpacks the reality of climate change and the practical steps we can take to reduce its impacts and protect the communities we love.
RESTORE stands for Resilient Environmental Strategies Through Organized Regional Education, a name chosen to emphasize education that leads to well-informed action.
Developed by Sustainable Hudson Valley with support from Rotary District 7210, Rhinebeck Rotary, and The Rotary Foundation, the program partners with communities already experiencing the impacts of climate change, such as flooding and other extreme weather.
“This program brings you just enough science to feel confident getting involved in your community to reduce climate pollution and risks to protect those you love,” says Melissa Everett, Executive Director of Sustainable Hudson Valley. “It’s an immersion into the creative actions being implemented all around us, from community solar to regenerative agriculture to Repair Cafes.”
One Saturday in the classroom plus a hands-on team project earns you a certificate of completion and connects you to some of the most dynamic work happening in our community.
Open to adults and high school students.
