The Art of Connection: A Community Postcard Writing Workshop

In an era dominated by digital communication, the handwritten postcard stands as a quiet act of radical intentionality. "The Art of Connection" is a free, public workshop that invites Hudson community members of all ages and backgrounds to slow down, pick up a pen, and write to someone who matters to them.

Participants will receive all necessary materials and a brief guided introduction to simple visual techniques — hand-lettering, collage, doodling — to personalize their card. The second half of the session is devoted to writing: crafting a message to a neighbor, a family member, or a stranger. Prompts and examples will be available for anyone who wants a starting point. Postcard stamps will be provided so that every card written during the workshop can be mailed the same day.

The workshop is designed to be low-barrier and joyful. No artistic experience is required. The only prerequisite is a willingness to connect.
